Executive VP of Development

I began my hospitality career with company managed hotels (CMH) within Holiday Inns, Inc. now InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). I am the recipient of expert coaching and excellent industry insight from numerous highly skilled and knowledgeable industry leaders from within IHG. Areas of expertise include budgeting and finance, revenue management, physical plant inspections/operations including risk management and life/safety compliance, sales & marketing, and human resources. My hotel skills were sharpened primary int the Austin and San Antonio, TX markets.

My operation insight received through IHG CMH led me to a corporate capacity with IHG Hotel Performance Support (HPS) - Area Manager. My primary objective was to consult with franchise owners by frequent property visits, facilitate regional training workshop events in all topics of brand revenue, service, and quality, and assisted in the opening of new hotels. I was assigned the South Texas Region of the IHG mid-scale segment, mostly Holiday Inns Hotel, Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites, Holiday Inn Sunspree Resorts, Holiday Inn Select, and toward the end of my tenure, Hotel Indigo. Other responsibilities included the training and implementation of selected brand property management systems (Hotel Management System [HMS] and Micros Opera), migrating properties to a new CRS and yield management system. After IHG, I've had a successful run as Regional VP of Operations for K Partners Hospitality USA, Terrapin Hospitality, and Aimbridge Hospitality. In each of these roles, my responsibility oversaw on average portfolio size of 10-14 hotels made up of Hilton, IHG, Marriott, and Wyndham properties.

On the educational and social scene, I attended the University of Texas - Austin and Our Lady of the Lake University - San Antonio. I am an alumnus of Phi Kappa Theta (PKT) National Fraternity and actively participate as a Charter Member of Phi Kappa Theta Alamo Alumni Association based in San Antonio, Texas.
